Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed arrived in New Delhi today to attend the 18th BRICS Summit, hosted by India.
According to a report by state-run EBC, the delegation led by the Prime Minister will hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the summit aimed at fostering regional and international cooperation.
While maintaining its diplomatic ties with the West, Ethiopia has diversified its international engagement by joining the BRICS group in 2024.
BRICS, founded by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, is a platform for South-South cooperation among emerging economies and seeks to promote a more multipolar global order and reshape the existing global economic and political system.
