Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Monday welcomed Benin’s President, Romuald Wadagni, who is in Addis Ababa for an official working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a Facebook post, the prime minister said he discussed areas of mutual interest with the Beninese leader.
The two leaders “had a productive discussion on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest,” Abiy said.
The prime minister added that Ethiopia aims to build a strong partnership with Benin.
